Stacey has been a member of the firm since July 1, 2012. She was a partner of another Fargo law firm for 15 years prior to joining Haugen Moeckel & Bossart. Her practice encompasses a number of areas of the law, where she represents both Plaintiffs and Defendants in various matters. Her practice areas center in personal injury, medical negligence, general litigation, transactional law, probate, wills and estate work. Her defense work has included representation of various manufacturers and distributors in ongoing litigation involving asbestos.

At her previous firm, Stacey dedicated a significant amount of time to class action litigation, including litigation against pharmaceutical drug and device manufacturers. She has worked on class action lawsuit cases such as the Minot train derailment / anhydrous ammonia spill and pharmaceutical drug and device cases such as Avandia, Baycol, Medtronic, Nuvaring and Phen Fen.

Stacey has been licensed to practice in the states of North Dakota and Minnesota, the United States District Court for the districts of North Carolina and Minnesota and the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. She has also appeared on briefs before the United States Supreme Court in a Response to a Writ of Certiorari.

Stacey has recently became the Past President of the North Dakota Association for Justice. She continues to serve as a Member of the Board of Governors for the Association and an active Member of the American Association for Justice. She is also on the Board of Governors for the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals and serves on the Southeast Judicial District Inquiry Committee for the North Dakota Disciplinary Board. She is also a Past President of the Cass County Bar Association.

Stacey is a Fargo native and graduated cum laude from Moorhead State University, Moorhead, Minnesota, in 1993. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and minor in French. She attended the University of North Dakota School of Law and graduated "with distinction" in 1996.

Stacey served on the North Dakota Law Review Board as the Research Editor while she was in law school. She published a Law Review entitled "Civil Rights - the Constructive Discharge Doctrine and its Applicability to Sexual Harassment Cases: Does It Matter What The Employer Intended anymore?, Hukkanen v. International Union of Operating Engineers, 3 F.3d 281 (8th Cir. 1993)." She also obtained the honor of Best Respondent Oralist and Best Respondent Team during the 1995 Inter-School Moot Court Competition. Following this competition, Stacey went on to compete in the National Moot Court Competition representing the University of North Dakota School of Law.
